About Tony Rynders
I hail from the great state of Wisconsin. I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I made my way out west in 1986 and never looked back. In 1989, after returning to the US from a three-month trip to Europe, I took my first job at a winery in California. After working there for a year, I knew that I wanted to become a winemaker and enrolled in the Masters program in Viticulture and Enology at U.C. Davis. While completing my degree, I received internships in California, Italy (twice) and Australia. Since finishing graduate school, I have held winemaking jobs in Oregon (Argyle) and Washington (Hogue). For the past ten years, I have been Winemaker at Domaine Serene located in Oregon's Willamette Valley. While there, I helped the winery grow in both size and reputation. I am honored that that my efforts have been recognized by top wine professionals and journalists from around world.
